Ruby's affair with television began when she was just 20. She ventured to Mumbai alone, having come all the way from Canada. Here is her television experience in a nutshell:

• As a child artist, Ruby performed on many Canadian channels such as "Global TV, CHCH TV 11 and Channel 13 Kitchener, to name a few"

• As a young adult, she worked as a full-time veejay (1994-1998) on STAR TV's music channel, Channel [V], which beams to over 50 countries in Asia and the Middle East

• She has presented a wide variety of shows (over 20!) based on celebrity interviews, travel, films and music ("Planet Ruby", "BPL OYE!", "Night Shift", "Ek Ka Teen", "The Mescos Great Indian Manovaigyanik Show", "The Indian Top Ten", "Out There", "The Vibe", "Hello", "Bakeman's Ooh-La-La", "Let's Talk with Ruby", "Whirlpool Mera Magic Mera Home", "Good Morning India", "The Kinetic Mega Show", "Saturday Live", "Cricket Masala", "Lehren", etc...)

• She has also acted in the lead role as a cop in the television series entitled "Yeh Hai Raaz", produced by UTV and aired on STAR Plus (1996)

• Ruby was the first Indian woman ever to host a live show on the Cricket Mini World Cup (ICC Champions Trophy in Colombo, Sri Lanka-managed by IMG and produced by TWI), entitled "Extraaa Innings", storming newspaper headlines for Sony TV's revolutionary live coverage of the mega sporting event (2002)

• She has hosted a number of shows which have aired on international channels like ZEE TV, SET (Sony Entertainment Television) and B4U, beaming to countries on continents around the world and winning her international recognition

• Currently, she is acting in a glamourous leading role for STAR TV's hugely popular prime time daily soap, "Kasauti Zindagi Kay"....along with anchoring a bright, fun and newsy show for B4U Movies entitled "Bollywood Unlimited" and a "celebrities only" interview show for B4U Music entitled "Centrestage". She is also playing the funky pseudo girl, Meghna, in Sony TV's pathbreaking series, "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin".
